Venue

“Fab fat babes gathered in one handy location – what more could you want?” Kath, 2020 attendee

Camp Boom in the City 2022 will be held at Two Fifty-Seven right in the middle of central Wellington.

They say “we’re a beautifully designed work and event space, with a vibrant community of play, care and belonging.”

We say it’s an ideal location right on public transport routes that offers a variety of spaces we’ll be using for talks, crafts, movement classes and more.. We love their kaupapa, that they’re Living Wage accredited and how generous and supportive they’ve been.

There’s a variety of seating so you can move around during the days to keep comfortable, the building has flat access (with elevators), gender-neutral bathrooms, plenty of space to have a market area and a chillout zone. There is a space for chestfeeding or expressing milk.

Food

Your ticket price includes two morning teas, two lunches, two afternoon teas and dinner on the Saturday night, as well as snacks whenever you want them. There will also be wine and beer tastings (as well as a soda tasting for those who don’t drink), and alcohol served with dinner. Our caterers are Living Wage accredited.

We will cater for all dietary requirements – after you have bought your ticket we’ll be in touch for more specific information. There is a supermarket right across the road in case you need anything incredibly specific that we haven’t provided for you, and espresso coffee available in a number of places around Two Fifty Seven.

Please note that Camp Boom is not a space for diet talk. Food does not have a moral value. Eat what you would like, don’t eat what you don’t want to – it’s no one’s business but your own.

Getting there

Two 57 is right on the main bus routes via Willis Street. Parking for the day is available nearby in the Lombard Car Park for $15 per day. Street parking is available by the hour on Victoria Street for drop-offs and pickups.

Accommodation

This one is real simple – accommodation is not included in your Camp Boom 2022 ticket.

There are a number of hotels and backpackers within 500 metres of the venue.

There is definitely space for your bags if you need to check out on Sunday morning before Camp.
